Jared McElroy-Walker, the most recent captain of the Bradford Bulls, has signed his first pro contract with the Hofors HC (Division 2, Sweden).

In a junior career that spanned 6 seasons it started and ended in the GMHL for talented power forward Jared Walker. As a 15 year old rookie back in 2009-2010 Walker laced them up for the Toronto Canada Moose and played in an impressive 38 games as 1st year player, especially at his age.

The 6'0" Canadian had a great hockey talent that was really recognized after that first season in Toronto, after a brief stint with the Mississauga Chargers of the Ontario Junior A Hockey League (OJHL), Walker went on to play two successful seasons in the Northern Ontario Junior A Hockey League (NOJHL) splitting time between the North Bay Trappers, Blind River Beavers and Elliot Lake Bobcats. Walker's career NOJHL numbers are quite impressive as he scored 44 Points (12G, 32A) in 72 games.

Walker returned to the GMHL joining a Bradford Bulls team fresh off a Russell Cup championship. A injury shortened season halted Walker at 42 Points (19G, 23 A) in just 23 games with the boys in blue.

The Bulls named him their captain for this past season and Walker did not disappoint, putting up  64 points (17G, 47 A) finishing second on the team in points and top 20 in League assists while helping guide the Bulls to a 5th place finish in the competitive Central Division.

The Hofors HC has been a huge supporter of the GMHL in years past and this offseason is no different as Walker will join other Alumni to be named.

Congratulations Jared and Good Luck.
