The Bradford Bulls are well underway in their 2013/14 GMHL campaign. The highly touted Bulls squad is living up to preseason expectations through the early part of the season. The Bulls have played three games, winning two and losing in overtime in one. This puts them in first place with 5 points.

The Bulls opened their season last Sunday against their territorial rival Bradford Rattlers. The Bulls fell 4-3 in overtime against the defending Russell Cup champions. Captain Dalton Mills had a big performance producing on all three goals for three points. Russian goaltender Sergey Bolshakov earned the started in goal, turning away 44 shots and being named second star of the game. Also of note, OJHL veteran Jacob Bauchman and newcomer Austin Cline each got their first goals in Bulls jerseys.

The Bulls opened Bob Fallis Arena on Wednesday playing host to the expansion Halton Ravens. Despite being outshot, the Bulls were able to pull away with a 4-1 victory. Goaltender Bolshakov got the start in goal once again, stopping 52 shots and being named first star of the game. Dalton Mills was named second star with two assists while Jacob Bauchman earned third star of the game with another three point performance.

Last night, Thursday, the Bulls were on the road again to visit the Orangeville Americans. This game is the first of a home-and-home series between the clubs. The Bulls heavily outshot the Americans 52-24 winning the game 5-3. Finland natives Verneri Pellinen and Iiro Leppanen each found the score sheet, while once again Captain Mills scored three points.

The Bulls will look to continue the winning streak next Monday at home when the second half the Orangeville home-and-home series takes place. Fans, come out to Bob Fallis Arena next Monday for a 7:30PM puck drop and cheer on your Bulls!
