After a solid 25-13-4 season and graduating nine 21 year olds, Bulls Management knew they would be younger come the start of the 2017-2018 season.

With a very tough start to the schedule and 15 first year JR.A players, the Bulls struggled out of the gate. Winning the first game of the year, and then dropping 9 straight. There were numerous heart breaking defeats to the leagues top teams. Management and players continued to stay positive and continued to push forward.

Led by the leadership group of Captain Tyler Quintos and Assistants Zakk Bekolay, Jonne Walkky and Brandon Stapley, the boys turned it around and started putting some W’s on the board. Snapping their 9 game losing streak by beating an undefeated Parry Sound Islanders, was just what the Bulls needed.

After beating the Islanders, the Bulls went on to win 5 of the next 6 games, really turning everything around. Playing in a very tough Northern Division can be tough on a young team. Most teams are full of veteran players and you must come to play night in and night out, there are no “gimme” games.

The young Bulls finished went into the Christmas Break with a 11-16-1 record, a far cry from the 1-9 start they had. They beat some of the top teams in the league including, Parry Sound, South Muskoka, Almaguin and Temiscaming.

2017 and the future looks very bright for the Bradford Bulls. With 12 regular season games left, the Bulls are full preparation mode for playoffs!
