The Bradford Bulls are excited to announce the signings of Verneri Pellinen and Iiro Leppänen. Both players signed contracts with the Bulls Saturday evening for the 2013-14 season.

Verneri and Iiro come from the same EHC U20 club in Finland. They have played together through their entire junior careers, winning several championships in Finland's highest levels of minor and junior hockey.

Verneri was a premier talent in Finland's Jr. A Metis league. He lead his team in scoring with 64 points (30-34-64) in 42 games. This placed his in the top five scorers in the league. The '92 born forward stands 5'11" and weighs 180 lbs. He also was an assistant captain for his club in Finland.

Leppanen will be joining the Bulls as well next season. Iiro also comes to Bradford from one of Finland's highest levels of hockey. Iiro has been playing junior hockey since 2007, bringing a wealth of experience to the Bulls line-up. Last season in Jr. A Metis in Finland, Iiro scored 33 points (15-18-33) in 42 games.

General Manager Michael Fish had very positive remarks to make about the signings: "With these recent acquisitions, it will improve the depth of our hockey club. We are excited to start this upcoming season, we will continuously strive towards our goal here of winning a championship."
