Sergei Bolshakov has been rated as a 'C Prospect' for the upcoming 2016 NHL Entry Draft by Central Scouting. A 'C Rating' indicates a 4th/5th/6th round candidate. Bolshakov was the starting goaltender for the Bradford Bulls during the 2013-2014 season.

Sergei was the backbone to the 2014 Russell Cup Championship winning Bulls squad, starting in 37 GMHL games. At the age of 17, Bolshakov was regarded as one of the top goaltenders in the GMHL winning both the Rookie of the Year and Goaltender of the Year honours.

He recorded a 2.46GAA & .932save% during the regular season and then a 1.89GAA & .954save% in playoffs.

This is not Sergei's first sniff from professional hockey. Bolshakov has already been drafted to the KHL's Amur Khabarovsk, who drafted Bolshakov while under contract to the Bulls in the 4th Round of the 2013 KHL Draft.

At 6'3", 180lbs Bolshakov's big frame fits directly into the new-era mold for professional goaltenders. Sergei is a '96 born from Moskva, Russia.

Since graduating from the GMHL, Sergei has split time between the KHL & Russian Major Jr. This season, Bolshakov was named to the Russian U20 International-Jr. team.

Sergei is the second GMHL alumni rated for the upcoming draft. Jacob Kamps from the Blue Ice Jets has also been rated a 'C level' by NHL Central Scouting.
